By creating an account or using DebateIQ, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Who can use DebateIQ

DebateIQ is intended for high school students, coaches, and educators involved in competitive debate. You must be at least 13 years old and have a valid Google account to sign in. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

Your content

You own the content you create in DebateIQ — your topics, contentions, evidence cards, and notes. By storing content in the app, you grant us a limited license to host and display it to you as part of providing the service. We do not claim ownership of your work.

AI-generated content

DebateIQ uses Google Gemini to help you research and build arguments. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point — it may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for verifying any evidence or arguments before using them in a round. Do not present AI-generated text as your own original research without review.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use DebateIQ for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its API
  • Submit content that is hateful, harassing, or harmful
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use automated scripts to generate excessive requests

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used in a harmful way. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Service availability

DebateIQ is provided on an "as is" basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product evolves.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, DebateIQ is provided without warranty of any kind. We are not responsible for outcomes in debate rounds, accuracy of AI-generated content, or loss of data due to service interruptions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. Continued use of DebateIQ after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
